St. Michael Academy actively participated in a Fire Drill and Safety Inspection conducted by the Catarman Fire Station on February 4, 2026, reinforcing the school’s strong commitment to campus safety and emergency preparedness.

The mid-morning activity commenced with a comprehensive fire drill led by personnel from the Catarman Fire Station under the supervision of Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, FINSP Adrian P. Dacut. Students, faculty, and staff demonstrated orderly and efficient evacuation procedures, proceeding promptly to the designated safe area at Sacred Heart Park. As part of the exercise, the SMA Scouts facilitated safety simulations to further enhance awareness and preparedness among participants.

Following the drill, fire station personnel conducted an informative fire safety talk and live demonstration on proper fire extinguishing techniques and appropriate responses during fire emergencies. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions, allowing them to gain deeper understanding of fire prevention and emergency protocols.

The activity concluded with a thorough safety inspection of the school premises, including classroom-to-classroom assessments to ensure compliance with fire safety standards.

This collaborative initiative highlights St. Michael Academy’s unwavering dedication to maintaining a safe learning environment and equipping its community with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations.
