June 1, 2026 — In preparation for the opening of the new school year, the faculty of SMA officially commenced its In-Service Training (INSET) program with a day dedicated to professional development and collaborative learning.
The sessions were facilitated by Dr. Ma. Teresa Bayle of Phoenix Publishing, who led discussions on the importance of establishing a Professional Learning Community (PLC)within the school. Faculty members gained valuable insights into how PLCs foster collaboration, continuous professional growth, and shared accountability in improving teaching and learning outcomes. Participants also engaged in practical training on the effective implementation and execution of PLC initiatives at SMA.
Dr. Bayle also conducted a comprehensive lecture on Tiered Intervention, highlighting strategies for providing appropriate academic support to learners with diverse learning needs. The discussion emphasized the importance of targeted interventions in promoting student success and ensuring that every learner receives the support necessary to achieve academic growth.
The first day of the In-Service Training proved to be both productive and inspiring, equipping SMA educators with valuable knowledge, practical strategies, and renewed enthusiasm as they prepare for another year of delivering quality education. The activity underscored the school’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.
